Alberta Cancer Research Institute

The Alberta Cancer Research Institute (ACRI) has been developed to enhance Alberta’s internationally recognized position as a leader in cancer research through the provincial coordination of cancer research programs and by conducting innovative cancer research across the cancer control continuum that includes etiology, prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, health services and palliation.

Objectives

The Alberta Cancer Research Institute aims to:

  1. create an environment for collaborative work between cancer researchers in Alberta by bringing together researchers across disciplines and across institutions; 
  2. establish the infrastructure and resources to sustain the virtual provincial cancer research institute, and; 
  3. recruit and retain the highest calibre of cancer researchers and maintain an environment that supports and promotes their research activities.

 

Research Grants and Awards Support from the Alberta Cancer Research Institute

Alberta Cancer Research Institute grant and award programs are funded by the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Prevention Legacy Endowment.
