Clinical Trials

Information for Patients

Patients wanting information about a particular trial, or to participate in a clinical trial, should speak with their treating physician, who will then contact the appropriate physician at the Alberta Cancer Board.

Want to learn about clinical trials? What are they? How they work? etc. Those questions and more are answered at http://www.clinicaltrialsinfo.ca/

The documents below (under Locations) list cancer clinical trials in Alberta that are currently looking for participants. But remember: you must be referred by your physician and meet the trial criteria.

Information for Health Professionals

Health professionals interested in clinical trials at the Alberta Health Services - Cancer Care (formerly Alberta Cancer Board) should contact Dr. Rachel Syme, Clinical Research Unit Manager at (403) 521-3388.
