 Douglas A. Stewart

Doug Stewart received his M.D. from the University of Alberta in 1987, and then completed residencies in internal medicine and medical oncology at the University of Ottawa, and a fellowship in bone marrow transplantation and lymphoma management at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1994. 

He currently is Chief of the Division of Hematology and Hematological Malignancies at the University of Calgary/Calgary Health Region and Leader of the Hematology/BMT Program at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary. 


He is Provincial Leader of the Hematology Tumor Team for the Alberta Cancer Board and member of the Alberta Provincial Blood and Marrow Transplant Program based in Calgary. 


Dr. Stewart is local principal investigator for many clinical research studies and has authored over 170 articles and abstracts, primarily on the topics of hematological malignancies and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
