Can my loved ones get cancer from me if they get too close?

No, they cannot.

Cancer is not a transmissible illness. It is not possible for one person's cancer cells to grow in another person's body.

Amongst couples, one never catches the other's cancer. Nor do you need to worry about children or others close to you getting your cancer from you.

(Note that if you have certain types of cancer the risks of someone related to you also getting that type of cancer may be higher. But that has nothing to do with whether or not they have any direct contact with you.)
