Welcome to the Tomorrow Project
The Tomorrow Project is a long-term research initiative of Alberta Health Services.
The Tomorrow Project is a large research study designed to find out much more about
the causes of cancer and other long-term health conditions. To answer questions about
the causes of cancer in our community, researchers need to build a study that includes
many thousands of people who are willing to provide information about their health over a long period of time.
Much of the important knowledge to be gained from this project about what causes cancer and other long term
health conditions will benefit our children and grandchildren. The project is a legacy for future generations.
"Other large, long-term studies have taught us that high cholesterol and high blood pressure were risk
factors for heart disease and stroke. We now monitor and treat people for those conditions, meaning
that fewer people die prematurely. If we can do the same for cancer, the benefit from The Tomorrow
Project is likely to be immense." – says Dr. Paula Robson, principal investigator for the
Tomorrow Project.
We are now accepting volunteers to join the study. If you would like to participate, please
review the volunteer entry page.
